The government agency of Mountain House was formed in 1996. The Mountain House community reached 1,000 registered voters, which prompted a vote for independence in the Spring of 2008 and an independent local Board of Directors in the Fall of 2008.
With housing construction beginning in 2003, the community began contracting fire protection services from nearby South San Joaquin County Fire Authority. In December 2005, Mountain House Fire Station No. 1 opened at 911 S. Tradition St under the identifier “Station 98.” The firehouse was staffed with three personnel on one fire engine until the contract was terminated in September 2015. Following the CSD Board of Directors vote, a new contract for service was granted to the French Camp McKinley Fire District.
French Camp McKinley Fire District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, French Camp McKinley Fire District
